Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your personal information when you contact Faraday IT through this website. We've tried to write it in plain English rather than legal jargon — if anything is unclear, email us and we'll explain.
Who we are
Faraday IT is a managed IT provider based in North Wales. For any privacy question, contact us at info@faraday-it.co.uk.
What information we collect
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to give us through the contact form: your name, your company name (optional), your email address, and whatever message you write.
How we collect it
The contact form doesn't send your details to a server or database. Submitting it opens your own email client with a pre-filled message addressed to us — the same as if you'd emailed us directly. We only receive your information once you actually send that email.
Why we use it
We use the information you send us to reply to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to set up and manage that relationship. Our legal basis for this is legitimate interest — responding to a message you chose to send us — and, where it leads to a contract, taking steps to enter into that contract.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, if you become a client, for the duration of our relationship and as required by our accounting and legal obligations afterwards. We don't sell or rent your information.
Sharing your information
We don't share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share it with the tools and systems we use to run our own business (for example, an email provider or, if you become a client, our service-desk system) — always under the same duty to keep it secure.
Cookies and local storage
This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for the one thing it does store locally in your browser — your light/dark theme preference.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it
- ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete
- ask us to delete your information, where there's no good reason for us to keep it
- object to how we're using your information
- ask us to restrict how we use your information
To exercise any of these rights, email info@faraday-it.co.uk.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, we'd like the chance to put it right — email us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Children
This website and our services are aimed at businesses, not children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
